Moving Into Mastery!

Alice“…you finally have the awareness of what you are, but not with words. And because there are no words to explain what you are, you go back into peace, the place where you don’t need words to know
what you are.”
Don Jose Ruiz

Wasn’t there a time when you absolutely knew who you were? Here is a picture of me when I was kid. I absolutely knew who I was then. The innocence is so obvious, isn’t it? Wow – seeing this picture brought me back to the truth. I have always been connected to Spirit. I have always known the truth. It couldn’t be explained but I knew it – deep down inside. The Fifth Agreement reminds us of this. Each of us is the manifestation of God.

How old were you when you knew you knew God? How old were you when you knew you were connected? And connected to God yes, but everything. I remember times of going out into the woods and just being. I would listen to the birds and hear the crickets and see the light coming through the trees. I would hear the creek and watch the movement of the squirrels in the trees. I would be in that. I didn’t feel separate from it, but a part of it. This is the place we are all trying to get back to.

When did you first know you were connected? Let me hear your story! Post it on Facebook or send me an email to and please send me a picture! I would love to see your soul shining through you! The sharing of your story will help your soul remember. Remember that you are the manifestation of God!

roxanneFear creates the whole world of injustice and emotional drama, the whole nightmare that billions of people are living in.”
-Don Miguel Ruiz

That “nightmare” is the hell of the first attention we studied in the 9th chapter of The Fifth Agreement. I have been doing the homework I committed to on Sunday; when I have been irritated, aggravated, scared, or sad I have been taking a moment to BE AWARE of what I am afraid of; what lie I am telling myself.

One example: I told myself that I wasn’t going to be able to go to my niece’s wedding because I couldn’t afford it. In the next moment I reminded myself of the Truth; that God is my True Employer, my one and only True Source; and that Source is unlimited Abundance. Yesterday I went out on line and discovered that I had enough points to book the flight! Ha!

Happy Friday and blessings to you all,

Please Do Not feed The Fears

“When we recover all the energy that we invested in making assumptions,
we can use the energy to create a new dream:  our personal heaven.  Don’t make assumptions.”
-Don Miguel Ruiz

I have been receiving many insights on this spiritual journey this week.  I am so happy to be able to break some old agreements – agreements based on fear.  I hope you have been working with them as well.  I will list the first 3 Agreements here to remind you:
Be Impeccable With Your Word
Don’t Take Anything Personally
Don’t Make Assumptions

When I spoke Sunday, several people told me they were encouraged and excited to either continue or begin the soul work of the teaching in the book The Fifth Agreement. I have received calls and emails from people telling me stories of catching themselves judging other people’s process.  In each case, people were able to laugh at themselves and also realize that their judgment was a “story” they were telling.  I also spoke with one person who wondered…”is it ALWAYS a story?”  What a great question!  The answer is “no.” Some issues can be healed in us and we see things for what they are – that is not a story…it shows you where you have healed! This is the goal of this work – we can actually see reality for what it is.  We do however need to be careful about judging the when, where and how someone else does their healing.  That is none of our business – we don’t know someone else’s soul and telling a story about that is not life-giving for us or others.  If we are finding that we have a tendency to judge others and their process, this is a clue regarding where our healing needs to happen.  Negative judgments come from fear and hatred, not from truth and love.  Remember, we often see in others what needs to be healed in ourselves.  So don’t feed the fears!
If you start to judge someone or yourself – STOP!  Ask meaningful questions about yourself and your own process to see if there is healing there for you.  This will help you make less assumptions about others and will accelerate your own healing. We want to be discerning and loving to ourselves and to others.  And the main thing we are focusing on, is living from truth and love.  Judging others and gossiping about them is actually giving away our power and life energy.  Be impeccable with your word – with yourself and others.  You won’t be disappointed in the results.  Your life will have more power and energy to live your purpose.

Be Impeccable with Your Word

Be Impeccable with Your Word

-Don Miguel Ruiz

This morning I went on a horseback ride and was so struck at the beauty all around me.  At this particular barn, like most, there are vehicles sitting around – some words-1-1working and some not; there’s old farm equipment – some working and some not and a few horse trailers as well.  In spite of all the “extra stuff” around, I had an experience of God.  I noticed the most purely colored butterfly – very white and it was flittering all around.  It seemed as if it made sure I saw it.  The sun was hitting its wings so perfectly.  I then rode into the woods where the sun was coming through the trees – touching me, and the horse and the ground.  I don’t have words for it – but my grandmother would say “it’s God glory comin’ through the trees.”  Beautiful.  It was also so hot as I rode.  My intention was to release any negative energy into the earth and at the same time I was thanking God for everything I was experiencing.  I was asking my horse to carry me higher – both spiritually and literally…And then I got it! I realized that nature is what it is.  It doesn’t pretend to be one thing and actually be another. Nature, which is God of course, is always what it is.  It is fierce and beautiful and gentle and hot and trying and giving.  Nature, God, is impeccable with its word!

Be Impeccable with Your Word.

I encourage you to spend some time outside and notice the beauty around you.  Notice the impeccability of nature, of God.  The holiness you see around you is also in you.

It’s All in the Program!

“To be aware means to open our eyes to see the truth.”Image
-The Fifth Agreement, p. 24
The things that matter most to me in life are the things that have impacted me spiritually.  This can be books, people, events, interactions, etc.  Several years ago I was deeply impacted by the book, The Four Agreements, by Don Miguel Ruiz.  I have read that and re-read it many times and it is a book that has literally changed my life – my beliefs changed after having read it!  The new companion to that book is The Fifth Agreement, written by Don Jose Ruiz, Don Miguel’s son.  I am reading it for the first time and am equally impacted.  My favorite quote from the opening page is, “The infinite, a total power, creates a program just for you, and everything you need to be what you are is in the program.”

Isn’t that a great thought?  So what happens that we get off track?Discover with me, the tools to self-mastery.  You will be blessed by the Toltec wisdom found on these pages that comes alive in your heart and soul.  I hope you will join me for this 8-week summer series.  I am humbled, honored and blessed to be able to share it with you beginning this Sunday.

Just Take The First Step!

Image“The journey of 1,000 miles
begins with one step.”

My soul’s journey, in retrospect, feels and looks like a journey of 1,000 miles.  I have been looking back at my spiritual journey and noticing how many twists and turns my path has taken.  I always hoped for an easy journey – don’t we all?  And I figured something out that is so important.  Each twist and turn of the journey was a lesson. Each twist and turn was a learning.  I am grateful for every one of them.

Look back at your journey.  Give thanks for all the lessons. And use those lessons as you move forward.  Use the lessons to help others on their path. Use the lessons to not make the same mistakes over and over again.  Grow past your past and move forward in each now moment.

If you are new to what I am calling “your soul’s journey” – don’t worry.  You will know when to take your first step.  Worship with us, sing with us, pray with us and your soul will tell you your next step. We will support you as you take it!

The Right Side

There is a story in the Gospel of John 21st chapter, about Jesus and his disciples.  The day was Easter Monday and Jesus was on Imagethe shore looking out at his disciples as they were fishing.  Jesus calls out to them and asks if they have caught any fish.  “No” they answered.  Jesus then tells them to cast their nets on the “right side” and we are told that there were more fish than the nets could hold!

The experience and teaching here is a great one – cast your net on the right side!  What is the right side?  The side of kindness, love, affirmation, positive thought, and attuning to the positive currents in life.  If you are busy complaining and saying what is wrong all the time, you might want to look at what is right and praise it!  Get your mind, body and soul on the right side of life!  Go to the extreme of thanking your body for housing your soul and supporting your work here on earth.  Thank your soul for moving you forward.  Praise those around you who are supporting you in everyday situations. Center your thoughts on God and abundance.

As you live on the right side of life, you will have more abundance than you can hold.

Much love and many blessings!
